Arnold Haberl
Biography
Arnold Haberl (1970, Steyr), better known as noid, is an Austrian improvisational musician, composer and sound artist. He studied cello and mathematics in Vienna. The composer, sound artist, cellist and electronic musician works on sound installations, in the field of video art and as a programmer of the music freeware project ppooll. He realizes his projects together with artists such as Elisabeth Schimana, Billy Roisz, dieb13, Burkhard Stangl, Franz Hautzinger, Klaus Filip and others and performs internationally with his own compositions and as an improviser at numerous concerts and festivals. From 2007 to 2015 he was co-organizer of the interdisciplinary festival reheat at kleylehof13, Nickelsdorf. Since 2009 he has curated the sound art exhibition as part of the festival Konfrontationen Nickelsdorf. Haberl teaches MultiMediaArt at the University for Applied Science Salzburg.
