Christoph Richter (Musiker)

Christoph Richter is the "superstar" of the St. Pölten music scene, as the local press likes to call him. The dreamlike, melancholy piano pieces by the exceptional musician are reminiscent of the sound worlds of Yann Tiersen or Ólafur Arnalds. With "Audioexile", the multi-instrumentalist made his debut in 2006 in longplayer form on Couch Records. Characterized by an incredible range between singer/songwriter, French pop and crisp funk, he experiments with guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and drum machines. He himself calls his songs "intimate", and that's exactly what they are. Pieces like "Ohne ein Wort", "Die Stunde Null" or "Empathie" are touching and invite you to let your mind wander.
