Eva Kees
Biography
Eva Kees (1982, Bregenz) is a photographer and artist. She studied artistic photography in Vienna and at Le 75 in Brussels. Based on the medium of photography, she creates performative series, illuminated objects and textile objects. Her artistic interest lies in the themes of memory, coupled with the associated emotion. The conscious and unconscious perception and assessment of ideal values, a sense of beauty as truth within a society. Eva Kees very often deals with textile estates, which are inventoried and artistically processed in order to make them permanently durable, "maintainable" and visible in the form of a single work, apart from a small piece or quantity.
