Frauen:Zimmer

The artists' collective Frauen:Zimmer consists of Judith Augustinovič, Ortrun Bauer, Valerie Habsburg and Birgit Schulz. Through their engagement with feminist artists and working methods, the definition of space has diversified: Space and body are seen as an interdependent, complex network of relationships. Judith Augustinovič is an artist, curator and architect. The focus of her queer-feminist work is the body-space and the inherent narrative inscriptions of personal, cultural and historical, social and gender-based realities. Ortrun Bauer is a filmmaker, cinematographer and editor. Her work ranges from feature films to multimedia and experimental films. Valerie Habsburg is an artist, curator and researcher whose research focuses on the archival in the context of memory(ies), time and temporality(ies) as well as their relation to space and place. Birgit Schulz is an architect, master painter, teacher and researcher. Her expertise in the fields of light, material, colour and space complements her master painter's certificate.
