Biography
Physicist Friederike Otto (1982, Kiel) has been working as a Senior Lecturer in Climate Science at the Grantham Institute of Imperial College London since 2021. She is co-founder and director of World Weather Attribution (WWA), an international initiative to analyze and communicate the impact of climate change on extreme weather events. In 2021, Friederike Otto was on the TIME100 list of the most influential people in the world and on the list of the ten most important people who have made a difference in science. In 2023, she received the prestigious German Environmental Award.
