Globart
Biography
Since 1997, Globart has been designing formats that bring together perspectives from art, science and civil society in order to jointly develop strategies and respond to the challenges of the present. The "Association for Discursive Practice", based in Vienna and Melk (Lower Austria), facilitates encounters by and for people with different experiences and world views, from various generations and cultures. Globart's work is oriented towards a pluralistic, inclusive and open society and is in solidarity with people and the environment - especially with future generations. The focus is therefore on developing spaces that enable the discussion of diverse positions within the democratic spectrum. Today more than ever, it is important to discuss arguments and solutions and to become – and remain – capable of acting together. In addition to the annual symposium "Days of Transformation" at Melk Abbey, book projects and exhibitions the discussion series "The Utopian Space" takes place regularly at the Landestheater St. Pölten.
Jakob Brossmann is the artistic director of Globart, Stefanie Jaksch is curator.
