Biography
Hermann Fischl (1951, St. Pölten) is a photographer. As a graduate in photography and a long-time teacher at the Die Graphische in Vienna, Fischl has created a unique visual language. His photographs are characterized by an interest in memories, nature, space and fragmentary motifs and forms. Fischl is the author of several commissioned works, including the open-air multimedia project "Moments of a City" with Günther Böck. Fischl can look back on numerous exhibitions and multimedia productions at home and abroad, including in Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland and Hungary, and was awarded the Adolf Peschek Audience Award 2018 and 2020. The literary magazine for poetry and lyrical prose "Die Brache", presents Hermann Fischl as the magazine artist of the 7th issue, who complements the written word with his works.
Ernest A. Kienzl (1951, St. Pölten) lives and works in St. Pölten, Vienna and Freistadt. Ernest A. Kienzl's passion for the visual arts has accompanied him since childhood. After studying economics, the St. Pölten native went on to study at the University of Applied Arts. In addition to his profession as an AHS teacher, Kienzl worked as a freelance artist, following the basic elements of concept art. The multi-award-winning artist was chairman of the St. Pölten Artists' Association between 2006 and 2024. Kienzl is the curator of numerous exhibitions, including at the Lower Austrian Documentation Center for Modern Art and at KUNST:WERK St. Pölten.
