Biography

After studying architecture, Margareta Weichhart-Antony studied painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Her focus is on oil paintings, collages and drawings as well as installations in space and in nature. Margareta Weichhart-Antony uses words in her art to complement painting, to question it and to create a different approach to the work. In addition to her artistic work with adults, young people and children, she has participated in solo exhibitions, trade fairs and exhibitions in Austria and abroad.
The artist is showing her work at the Stadt-Galerie as part of the St. Pölten women's project Hippolyt & Töchter.
