Eröffnung Tangente Festivalzentrum

With the start of the festival, the Festival Centre also opens its doors, welcoming visitors from 3 p.m. to explore the newly designed spaces.

Following the official ceremony, which will be live-streamed from the stage in the courtyard to the Festival Centre, local cultural associations KulturhauptSTART and KünstlerInnenbund invite everyone to a joint presentation of their exhibitions and annual programs.

In the evening, Biennale Urbana and the students involved in designing the Festival Centre, in collaboration with KulturhauptSTART, invite guests to the closing celebration of their work process. The evening concludes with a live concert by Kimyan Law.

 

 

3:00 p.m. – Arrival at the Festival Centre

From 3 p.m., the exhibitions "3 Times" by KünstlerInnenbund featuring artists Linda Partaj, Alfred Rottensteiner, and Kurt Schönthaler at Kunst:Werk and the STARTraum Transformation #1, a co-production by KulturhauptSTART and Studio Designpool on the theme "Rose-Colored Glasses", can be viewed – at Kunst:Werk & STARTraum, Linzerstraße 16

 

 

3:30 p.m. – Presentation of the textile sculptures designed by Sunny Pfalzer – in the Vermittlungsraum (education room), Linzerstraße 10-12

 

 

4:30 p.m. – Live transmission of the official ceremony from the stage in the courtyard to the former Paradise of Fantasy in the Festival Centre. Following introductory remarks by the curatorial director Tarun Kade, there will be a keynote speech by author Cristina Garcia Morales. The discussion will include Landeshauptfrau Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Mayor Matthias Stadler, with presenter Hanna Binder. The ceremony will be musically accompanied by Katharina Ernst, Rojin Sharafi, Raphael Schwab, Tahereh Nourani, and Matteo Haitzmann.

 

 

4:30 p.m. – Children's Music Workshop with Naghmeh (registration required!)

 

 

6:30 p.m. – The local cultural associations KünstlerInnenbund and KulturhauptSTART jointly open their current exhibitions and present their annual program – in the 1st courtyard, Linzer Straße 16

 

11 p.m. – Live concert by Kimyan Law
