Visionale (Open Call)

At the “Visionale”, artistic motifs on the festival themes are developed in workshops with youth and young adults. During the festival year, three house walls in St. Pölten will be transformed into oversized canvases in a collaborative work process.

In cooperation with experienced (street) artists, murals dealing with contemporary history, social and futurual issues will be co-created. A wide variety of perspectives and attitudes will meet here and become part of the cityscape.

The process of negotiating the content is an important part of this (democratic) debate, alongside its technical implementation.

In order to realise artworks of this magnitude, teamwork and the interplay of a wide range of technical skills are required. The final manifestation as art in public spaces will initiate an exciting dialogue with the city, its residents and festival visitors for a colourful artitsts’ collective organized through an open call.

There are 10 places available for participants. For each of the three festival themes, they will work as a team with one artist, from the conception to the completion of the mural.

The jury will be announced at a later date.

There are no fees for the workshops and production costs for participants.
