Orgel Experimentell

In the new "Orgel Experimentell" (Experimental organ) series, three distinctive personalities from a wide range of musical backgrounds work their way through the queen of instruments. In this way, contemporary culture can be heard and experienced in the baroque interior of St. Pölten Cathedral.

"I will pull out all the stops" is the promise of the American multi-instrumentalist John Zorn on 4 July, which in the case of an organ can never be understood metaphorically. And Elisabeth Schimana will compose the commissioned work "Twilight Zones", which she will perform as a live electronic musician together with St. Pölten Cathedral organist Ludwig Lusser and musicians from the Black Page Orchestra from Vienna on 3 October.
